God gave us hope for heaven
Even though God loves us, we have a problem with sin, and that problem is too big for us to handle by ourselves. But that didn't surprise God, or deter Him from providing a way into heaven. God chose to deal directly with sin in a way that no mere man possibly could. The Bible says, "But God demonstrates His own love toward us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8) And perhaps the best known Bible verse of all says, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life." (John 3:16) |
